Recap of WMF World Cup’s first day:

Results of the day: Here is the 1st day of WMF World Cup 2023 coming to an end with a very lively series of matches. In the morning, we watched two matches which ended with the same score of 6-0. The first match won by the 2019 world champion Mexico against Ireland, and the second match ended with a victory for Georgia in its first participation in the Minifootball world cup. On the other hand, 4 African teams played their first match today too: Ghana, Algeria, Sudan and Egypt. But only Egypt which won its match against Kuwait with a score of 2-0. We remind you that Egypt is the 2021 African Minifootball champion. For the other representatives of the African continent the results are as follows: Kazakhastan Vs Ghana 7-0 Ukraine Vs Algeria 9-1 Romania Vs Sudan 9-1 We also have only one match that ended with a tie: it was between USA and Spain with a score of 2 for both. Opening Match and Ceremony: We cannot talk about the first day of the World Cup without talking about the long-awaited highlight which is the opening ceremony, in which His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi was present. Also a remarkable presence of Niesta, the ex-player of Barcelona and Spain national team. Other personalities from several fields were present at the opening ceremony. A good show started the ceremony followed by the opening match between the UAE team and India. the match ended with a score of 1-0 for UAE. The second day does not lack passion: several matches will be held for Round2.
