The World Minifootball Federtion (WMF) is thrilled to announce that Baku (Azerbaijan) has been chosen as the host city for the highly anticipated 2025 WMF Minifootball World Cup

The global sports community is abuzz with excitement as the official contract for the WMF Minifootball World Cup 2025 was signed today by Mr. Filip Juda (President - World Minifootball Federation) and Mr. Orkhan Mammadov (President - Azerbaijan Minifootball Federation) marking the beginning of an exhilarating journey towards the highly anticipated Minifootball tournament. The contract signing ceremony, held at Baku (Azerbaijan), was attended by Mrs. Zorica Hofman (Secretary General - WMF), Mr. Peter Kralik (Vice President - WMF), Mr. Farid Gayibov (Hon'ble Minister - Ministry Youth & sports, Azerbaijan) and many other VIP and several distinguished guests.

WMF President Mr. Filip Juda expressed immense pride and anticipation: "I am pleased that the WMF Executive committee supported the candidacy of the country that in a very short period of time has made a very progressive development of Minifootball in its country. I remember as if it was today, when in 2017 I first met the people who later became the leadership of the newly founded Azerbaijan Minifootball Federation. They have done a huge amount of work in a few years. They increased the number of Minifootball infrastructure in the country, increased the number of players of this sport in Azerbaijan, and what's more, five years later they became European Minifootball Champions. For me, supporting the candidacy of the AMF meant expressing respect for their hard work and, thanks to the WMF WORLD CUP, even more supporting the progressive development of Minifootball in Azerbaijan. I believe that the championship itself will bring AMF not only huge promotion and with it the number of new Minifootball players in the country, but also new partners, contacts and recognition for all those people who work hard on the organization, development and promotion of Minifootball in Azerbaijan. I am looking forward to see all Minifootball family in Baku next year!"

Mr. Orkhan Mammadov (President - Azerbaijan Minifootball Federation) expressed excitement over the city's selection as the host: "Today, a new page opens in the history of Azerbaijan Minifootball. In 2025, Azerbaijan will host the mini-football world championship, and this most prestigious championship will be held in our hometown, Baku. On this occasion, I congratulate you all from the bottom of my heart and express my gratitude to you on behalf of the Azerbaijan Minifootball family for accepting our invitation.

We built our business on the love and passion for mini-football and I think this is one of the main reasons for our success. Today, more than 150,000 Minifootball players are served in our 34 Minifootball stadiums, which cover many cities of our country and have professional. Azerbaijan is one of the countries in the world where Minifootball is recognized as an independent sport

Today, our federation continues its work in the direction of supporting the development of mini-football at the global level and promoting Azerbaijani mini-football in the world. To this end, we submitted our bid to host the 2025 Minisoccer World Cup and were selected from among several candidate countries. The success of our country in the direction of Azerbaijan's hosting of prestigious international sports events played an important role in the choice made in our favor by the World Mini-Football Federation. In particular, the presence of infrastructure and experience that meet international requirements, as well as the recognition of our country as a reliable partner, were important in making a positive decision.

After a full year, on May 21, 2025, our city of Baku will host the World Minifootball Championship, and this championship, which will be the 5th in number, will leave an unrepeatable mark in the history of world Minifootball.
